Am heutigen Montag wurde die Intensität im Training wieder gesteigert, nachdem man gestern großen Wert auf Regeneration gelegt hat. Das Vormittagsprogramm bestand aus dem Erlernen von verschiedenen Spielformen auf engstem Raum. Anschließend wurden in Teams von drei Spielern gegeneinander gespielt. Thomas Schaaf war angetan vom Einsatz seiner Jungs und berichtete hr-online: “Es war eine sehr intensive Einheit, die ganz schön auf die Pumpe ging, aber alle Jungs haben prima mitgezogen.” Mit dabei ist auch wieder Carlos Zambrano, der sich auf dem Weg der Besserung befindet nach einer Lungenentzündung. Ein abschließendes Blutbild hat im Laufe des Tages noch letzte Zweifel ausgeräumt. Er hat bereits mit Rehatrainer Fabacher eine erste Laufeinheit abgehalten und wird ab morgen wieder mit dem normalen Training beginnen. Dass das Training in den letzten Wochen ziemlich hart ist, musste sich auch Bastian Oczipka eingestehen. Nach seiner Verletzungsserie in der letzten Saison, ist er nach der Sommerpause wieder voll mit dabei und urteilte: “Ich hatte viel zu knabbern. Wenn man von einer Verletzung in die nächste läuft, ist es schwierig, das aufzuholen.” Seine Verletzung, die fehlende Form und die dadurch entstandene Kritik ging nicht spurlos an ihm vorbei aber mittlerweile konzentriert er sich nur noch auf das Training. Auch Vaclav Kadlec scheint wieder besser in Form zu kommen. Besonders angetan ist er von seinem neuen Trainer, der ein qualitativ hochwertigeres Training verfolge. In einem Interview mit hr-online lobt er auch den Kommunikationsstil von Schaaf: “Das erste Jahr bei der Eintracht war anfangs sehr gut. Dann habe ich aber keine Chance mehr bekommen und Armin Veh hat wenig bis gar nicht mit mir darüber gesprochen.” Ein positives Zeichen, dass Spieler, die letzte Saison noch in einem Formtief steckten, sich in den letzten Wochen wieder besser fühlen. Alles andere kann sich die Eintracht mit seiner dünnen Personaldecke auch gar nicht erlauben.
